Good morning boys and girls, It’s a great pleasure for me.It’s nice to to give you a speech here. Nowadays mastering a foreign language is very helpful in our daily life. I feel it a great honor to share my opinions about English learning with you. Firstly, I believe it is useful to remember as many sentence patterns as possible. Secondly, we should try our best to read more English newspapers and magazines after class, which helps to improve our reading abilities. Besides, TV programmes are of great help to us. Last but not least, it’s necessary for us to communicate with foreign friends as much as possible and increase our awareness of foreign cultures, which can also help to improve our English.

However, sometimees I find it difficult to pronounce some English words correctly. I would appreciate it if someone could give me some advice. Thanks for your attention

Hi everybody.

Back in the years when I was only six years old or so, I had my first taste of English. It seemed very strange to me. At the very beginning, I was not so interested in this strange language. Moreover, the English TV program always took time away from my cartoon shows. As a result, I started to hate English.

Time flies. Things completely changed at the end of my primary school life. In the last exam of the whole primary school period, I did so well in English that I got a full mark. I found that I could do a perfect job in English if I put my heart on it. This exam seems to be a turning point on my road of studying English and has really inspired me. Although there are still many challenges waiting for me, these setbacks won’t hurt my confidence and will push me to study harder.

Nothing is impossible for willing hearts and I believe, in the future, I can fly as high as I wish to.

We Are The World ,We Are The Future

Someone said “we are reading the first verse of the first chapter of a book, whose pages are infinite”. I don’t know who wrote these words, but I’ve always liked them as a reminder that the future can be anything we want it to be. We are all in the position of the farmers. If we plant a good seed ,we reap a good harvest. If we plant nothing at all, we harvest nothing at all.

We are young. “How to spend the youth?” It is a meaningful question. To answer it, first I have to ask “what do you understand by the word youth?” Youth is not a time of life, it’s a state of mind. It’s not a matter of rosy cheeks, red lips or supple knees. It’s the matter of the will. It’s the freshness of the deep spring of life.

We all want the future to be better than the past. But the future can go better itself. Don’t cry because it is over, smile because it happened. From the past, we’ve learnt that the life is tough, but we are tougher. We’ve learnt that we can’t choose how we feel, but we can choose what about it. Failure doesn’t mean you don’t have it, it does mean you should do it in a different way. Failure doesn’t mean you should give up, it does mean you must try harder.

As what I said at the beginning, “we are reading the first verse of the first chapter of a book, whose pages are infinite”. The past has gone. Nothing we do will change it. But the future is in front of us. Believe that what we give to the world, the world will give to us. And from today on, let’s be the owners of ourselves, and speak out “We are the world, we are the future.”

I enter tile university after years of hardstudy and preparation(准备). But life in the university is not as satisfactory(满意) as what I had expected. I become lazy and dont want to study.I become silcent. I become puzzled. I dont know what I can do in the future. Then I become unhappy.

Four years in the university is only a short period when compared my whole lifetime. Now it has passed a half. In this year, many people ,such as my parents,my friends, ask me what I want to do and tell me to map out a plan for my life. I dont want to follow their suggestion, and I want to go my style. So I think carefully. I have been a young volunteer(志愿者) for five years.Its very happy and significant. Then I have a dream.I want to join the University Student Volunteers Go West Programe. I think I can be a teacher in the west.I want to try my best to help them and help me. I want to see the world cearly. Now I cant reach its demand and its very diffcult,but I will work hard in the next two years. There is an old saying"where there is a will,there is a way.(有志者事竟成)"I think my dream can come ture.Now in the university I mature,and in the university I prepare for the real world.

At last,I want to say to everybody"Hlod fast to your dreams,no matter how big or small they are.The path to dreams may not be smooth(平滑) and wide,even some sacrifices(牺牲) are needed.But hold on to the end,you can find there is no geater happiness than making your dream come ture."
