I"ll tell you an experience of myself happened last week. last thursday our school was tackling something about woking fou study. i wanted to have a try even though i knew the salary was so low and i had little chance,because the students who had the certificate were always thought to have priority to get the job. fortunately i was called at noon and a teacher said to me that she wanted me to work for her and asked if i could change my mind.

At that moment i was so excited that immediately i accepted her idea. but later on,she found me that i"m not a student,so i had little chance and suggest me to get one. then an idea occurred to me that i could call my father and ask him to send me the letter. at the same time i was told that i was admitted to the job and don"t need the certificate. that time i forgot to remind my father,until the next day he called me that he had posted it and it would arrive in just one day.

At that moment i was moved, and even moved into tears, because i knew my father was injured not long before,the process of helping me with the affairs was not so convenient for him. but he tried his best to help me. sometimes we may complain about unsatisfying things around us,and blame them on our parents,sometimes they"ll be angry with us, and sometimes we can"t quite understand what they are thinking about. but on balance, almost every parent is selfless to his or her child.

They are ready to offer everything to us when we are in bad situation. we used to sharing sorrow with them,but do not forget to share our happiness with them, perhaps they will be much happier than we are. so from now on, let"s care more about our parents and do not leave pity to them. that"s what i want to tell you today. thank you!

Good afternoon ladies and gentlemen. It is my honor to be here to present my speech to you about the role of humanism in today’s technologically advanced world.

What’s the role of humanism today? At the first sight of this topic, I felt that I had a vision of walking along a dark passage to our destination, an ideal harmonious society. Humanism, is a lighthouse on this way to guide us in case we are getting lost, together with modern technology, we are well on our way toward our destination.

Like other young men, I love the internet. To be honest, I could not imagine a life without internet, which is a blessing taken by high technology. To some extent, it represents the whole world to me. I have registered some accounts on MySpace, Facebook, Twitter, Renren, Weibo and so forth. It’s really amazing because these network technologies make it possible for people all over the world to communicate with each other freely and conveniently.

However, there are two sides to the argument, so what of the internet. While it could lighten our life, it could also turn into evil. It started with some of these arguments—well, it is argument at first—then the situation seems out of control: people start to curse and scold each other just because they have different opinions. People became more and more aggressive, seditious, and insulting, and later on, with the “Human-flesh searching” involved, the situation gets even worse. Those are what we called “Network of violence”, they are still happening, and still going on.

It seems like that the internet frees us from the burden of our public identities so we should be our true, authentic selves online, except it turns out—who wouldn’t see that coming—that our true, authentic selves aren’t that fantastic.

The reason we define ourselves as human is because we have some natural instincts to care for and respect other people. In other words, we are pursuing the universal brotherhood, a peaceful world of free minds. It is humanism that keeps our society moving on and on.

As one of the most important inventions in our time, internet has changed the way of our life tremendously. It has changed the way we express and communicate with each other. It has made it possible for us to meet each other without distance; it has made it easier for us to know and to comprehend each other.

However not only some changes has it brought, but also brought on some challenges. Net has anarchy in its DNA, It’s always been about anonymity, playing with your own identity and messing with other people’s heads. It is a challenge, it challenges our self-discipline that we are proud of, it challenges our humanity that we are proud of. Sure technology promises us more freedom but it doesn’t mean that we should leave our civilization behind.

That’s why we need a guideline to light up our path, to lead us. In this technologically advanced world, what we need to do is to avoid the misuse of technology, but to take it as an accelerator, a lube or a navigator on our high way to create a better world, a harmonious society.

So don’t ever forget our aspiration, and always have faith in humanism, and we are going to make it happen, in this technologically advanced world! Yes! We can!

In the world, I am sure that no one dare say he hasn't met any trouble allhis life. So we must face failure. In fact, failure is not fearful, butimportant thing is how to face it correctly. Facing failure, people will nevertake their fate lying down.They will try their best to work harder and harderuntil at last they succeed.

Not being courageous to face setbacks, people have no chance to enjoy thepleasure of success. So they have nothing to do but feel sad and empty all dayand all night. In fact, they lose the chance of success themselves.

My friend, whenever in trouble, please remember, “Failure is the mother ofsuccess.”

Twists and turns in life are unavoidable and are not always bad. We shouldhave a more optimistic view on life and try to make the most of it and drawlessons from the bumps and turns along the way.

If there is any single factor that makes for success in living, it is theability to profit by defeat. Every success I know has been achieved because theperson was able to analyze defeat and actually profit by it in his nextundertaking. Confuse defeat with failure, and you are doomed indeed to failure.For it isn't defeat that makes you fail: it is your own refusal to see in defeatthe guide and encouragement to success. Defeats are nothing to be ashamed of.They are routine incidents in the life of every man who achieves success. Butdefeat is a dead loss unless you do face it without humiliation, analyze it andlearn why you failed.

Defeat, in other words, can help to cure its own cause. Not only doesdefeat prepare us for success, but nothing can arouse within us such acompelling desire to succeed. If you let a baby grasp a rod and try to pull itaway, he will cling more and more tightly until his whole weight is suspended.It is this same reaction which should give you new and greater strength everytime you are defeated. If you exploit the power which defeat gives, you canaccomplish with it far more than you are capable of.

every teacher in this school can give a course as they like. there is no tedious rating, no scraps of quantitative management and no rigid standard. teachers can fully display their personality in class, and they feel very happy and content to teach. every morning, on thoughts of giving lessons, they are excited. after class, they are delighted , with smiles on their faces. some experts, scholars and masters are also visiting teachers in this school.yang zhenning can give physics classes for a day. yi zhongtian opens lectures on chinese culture for a week. speaking of music, we can ask wang lihong to give music lectures, just as he did in oxford university. if necessary, we can also invite david beckham to speak something about the world cup …

the principal of the school focuses on education rather than waste time in endless meetings and social activities. teachers’ wages are not high but enough to live comfortably. there are no other things to do except to teach. there are no paper requirements, no titles and no ranks because they don’t need to be judged by those things. almost every teacher is a well-known scholar and master in a particular field. a language teacher may be a writer at the same time. a math teacher may try to overcome a world-class guess. a physics teacher can win invention awards and a music teacher may return from an international music competition again.

in short, in this school, the principal is satisfied, the teachers are happy and the students are joyful. that’s my dream.
